About Me

My name is Matthew Lester. I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. My dream is to become the next big filmmaker. My journey to this started when I was a sophomore is high school, when I took a tv class because I needed something to do. Little did I know that when I started using a camera and editing software, I was like "This is it". From there is became part of my high school media team and did that up to graduation. After High school I attended Indiana State University for 4 years. While at ISU I did everything that I could media wise. I joined a group called Sycamore Video, and landed a job my freshman with the Indiana State Sports Network, which signed a contract to have games produced by ESPN. It wasn't until 2017 when I decided to start learning photography and start freelancing with video & photography work. I graduated from Indiana State in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies. Since then I have worked for Fox59 as a Production Technician, WishTV8, as a Photographer, Indiana Pacers as an in-house camera man and work for a production for a local church in Indianapolis.
